Limelight By Alcone : Not your Mothers Direct Sales

In the last year or two a company called "Limelight by Alcone" has taken the direct selling market by storm. People are wondering How? Who? WHHHAATT?
Well for a few years this "Diamond in the rough" was not even on the map of any big name makeup skin care direct selling companies like the ones we all think of such as Mary Kay, Avon, Younique etc...
The reason is quite surprising. Limelight was never designed to be Direct Sales!!! WHAT??? I know that never is how things work.
Through a bit of digging I found that Limelight by Alcone was created to reward professional makeup artists who were referring their clients to the extremely popular upscale Iconic Alcone store in New York City. It originally was to be named Alcone at home, but ultimately changed to what we know it by now.

Due to the tremendous amount of referrals by professional makeup artists, the owners were astonished by the sheer number of clients that went from just a referral to loyal customers.
The owners thought " How can we make this work? How can we reward so many makeup artists for all of these amazing new clients?" After many ideas, some resistance, by the Co-founder Michele Gay due to the negative stigma the general public has with direct sales, the direct selling market was the best and most fair way to reward the makeup artists. Then the birth of Limelight by Alcone was born

Like every company, the first 6-9 months in 2013 it was a small company... There were only a few hundred reps, almost exclusively makeup professionals. Within only 2 years the company had an unprecedented 3000% growth!!! This is referred to as "Hyper-Growth". It is no longer the tiny company it was. At this time it is dubbed to become one of the Top Beauty Brands. I do not have an exact number of current "Beauty Guides", which are what the sales representatives are called, with Limelight. The estimate is around 2000. Although this may not seem like a lot it is a quite unique phase as far as direct selling companies go. The 1st phase of growth and "ground floor" laying is the essential and pivotal phase any direct sales company. In general people tend to shy away from "ground floor" opportunities, however Limelight by Alcone is quite unique. Alcone actually has been in the beauty industry since 1952 and has extensive expertise in the beauty and cosmetic industry.In fact,at their last years "Summit," also known as annual convention, World renowned makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic taught and presented. Mario is the guru to the stars working almost exclusively with Kim Kardashian as her personal makeup artist. That truly speaks volumes for the makeup line and company.
