Hey everyone Jennifer here. I know when I am looking to purchase something new I try to research and get as much information as I can to make an informed decision. Especially when it is something I am putting on my skin.

 I am a Science teacher and a Registered Nurse so I have to add this little fact for anyone that does not already know. Our skin is our biggest organ in our body!!! I know crazy right? We don't normally think of our skin being an organ. With that said it is so important to pay attention to what you are putting not only in our body but ON our bodies. It only takes 26 seconds for skincare products to enter our blood stream!!!

Our Limelight website is amazing but I want to go into more detail about each one of our products, to help you have all the information for you to make a decision about what would work best for you. We do not sell anything that does not meet our very high standards. Our skincare products are all Phthalate free, paraben free, Chemical free, Cruelty free.

Okay, now the good stuff!!!

I will start with Cleansers if you can only afford to purchase a small amount but want to begin getting results I recommend at the very least get 1 cleanser and 1 moisturizer. If you have a specific issue that you want to fix I will help you to find the best product for you.

Cleansers-

DREAM CLEAN

STORY

 Our amazing Dream Clean cleanser gently foams as a result of its natural foaming Soapberry ingredient. This fruit extract combats bacteria and inhibits melanin production, reducing the appearance of age spots and sun damage. Those with oily skin should use Dream Clean in the morning and again in the evening. Those with combination or sun damaged skin should use Dream Clean in the evening and Quench Cleanse in the morning. This is our go-to cleanser for most teens.

Aloe Vera - helps heal the skin, creates a “shield” to keep pollutants out and moisture in, and promotes redevelopment of new, healthy skin cells. 

Soapberry - this plant contains natural saponins that cleanse the skin. These extracts have been proven to inhibit melanin production, reducing the appearance of age spots and sun damage. Saponins also fight bacteria, which makes this a great cleanser for

acne prone skin.

Extract of White Tea - this extract offers antioxidant benefits to the skin cells. Spirulina Platensis Algae - is known to provide firming qualities to the skin as well as substantial hydration.

QUENCH CLEANSE

 STORY-

-This is a great cleanser for dry or aging skin. Its ingredients are focused on hydrating and balancing the skin, as well as calming some common issues that arise with aging, sun damage, and troubled skin. 

-Those with dry skin should use Quench Cleanse in the morning and again in the evening. For combination or sun damaged skin, use Quench Cleanse in the morning and Dream Clean in the evening. 

-It can also be recommended for temporary use to those with oily skin who may be experiencing an increase in oil production due to a previously-used over-stripping cleansing routine or acne treatment. Once skin is rebalanced, Dream Clean can replace the PM use of Quench Cleanse, if needed.

STORY 

 Our nutrient-rich scrub and mask smooths, hydrates, balances, and reduces inflammation. Natural jojoba beads roll away impurities, as well as dead and dehydrated skin cells, so oils from olives, lemon, and cypress can restore and protect the skin. For anyone who has normal, dry, or aging skin, this mask produces amazing and immediate results.

BEST WAY TO USE 

Apply generously to freshly cleansed and damp skin. Massage for 30 seconds and leave on for 10-15 minutes. Remove with several splashes of warm water followed by a cool water splash. Use as often as desired.

 Cold-Pressed Lemon Peel Oil - this oil helps stimulate new cell growth and is proven to regenerate skin cells.

 Squalane - derived from olives (this compound is found in skin) it wraps around the skin helping to prevent dehydration.

Mask of Zen

There are five major causes of skin imbalance and our gentle, acne-fighting mask with Montana Clay, Tea Tree Oil, White Carrot Oil, and Cinnamon Bark, acts simultaneously against all these causes. This mask, after first use, may cause some breakout as it will extract impurities. After regular use, it will create healthy, balanced skin. For those with acne, the masque should be used 3-4 times a week for the 1st two weeks and then 1-2 a week ongoing. It also makes a get spot treatment for pimples. Apply to a blemish before bed and in the morning it will be greatly reduced, ready for extraction, or gone.

One Drop Wonder

Story

One of our LimeLight leaders from Iowa was telling our CEO, Michele Gay, about this amazing hair oil that comes from the Osage Orange seed. These seeds are found in green hedgeballs that seemingly carpet Iowa in the fall. She mentioned that a chemist she knows was able to cold-press the oil so that it can be extracted free of chemicals.
